Delivering HACCP-Compliant Flooring with Flowfresh

Barretts / Blayney Group operates a food and beverage manufacturing facility in regional New South Wales, where hygiene, safety and operational continuity are critical to daily production. To protect product integrity, ensure staff safety and maintain compliance, the facility required a seamless, impervious and chemically resistant flooring solution.

A key project requirement was the delivery of a fully compliant floor with minimal disruption to operations. The installation was undertaken under challenging conditions, with overnight external temperatures dropping to just 3°C, below the 5°C minimum typically required for resin flooring systems to cure correctly. These conditions demanded the specialised expertise and technical capabilities of Profloor Epoxy Systems.

The project encompassed approximately 330 square metres of flooring and 300 mm high integrated kerbing, all installed to HACCP International standards.

Profloor Epoxy Systems specified and installed the Flowfresh SR 6 mm system, a heavy-duty polyurethane cement flooring solution designed to provide exceptional chemical resistance and a textured, P5 slip-resistant finish suitable for demanding food production environments.

Through careful management of installation sequencing and environmental controls, Profloor Epoxy Systems ensured the flooring system achieved a full cure and met all performance specifications, despite the low ambient temperatures. The project was delivered entirely by Profloor’s in-house team of resin flooring professionals, ensuring consistent workmanship, quality control and attention to detail throughout every stage of the installation.
