Flowcrete’s New Website Makes Finding Flooring Facts Easy

03 Dec 2018

  • Responsive design helps contractor and end users easily find flooring information while onsite
  • New ways to find flooring solutions including by market sector or system benefits
  • Construction professionals have constant access to the most up-to-date technical literature

Flowcrete has launched a new website, designed to make it easier for contractors, architects and end users to find the flooring information they need while onsite, on the move or in the office.

The fresh website has been developed with the principles of usability at its core to ensure that technical information, contact details and Flowcrete’s flooring advice is all as readily available as possible.

Centralising the content and shortening the user’s pathways around the site makes it quicker and easier to navigate, while the responsive design means that the website works equally well across desktop computers, tablets, laptops and cell phones.

Flowcrete’s activity in New Zealand is represented by Altex Coatings Ltd and is part of Flowcrete Australia, which has offices in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Managing Director of Flowcrete Australia, Sean Tinsley, said: “We know that construction professionals often need to access information quickly, however they’ll frequently be out of the office and in the middle of a building site working from their phones, which makes having to deal with an unresponsive, slow or clunky website a real headache!

“We’ve worked to help streamline their research by building our new site to be fast and mobile responsive. So if you need to know which floor best meets a site’s demands or what decorative effects can be created – the answer will be only a quick click away.”

A refocused strategy based around highlighting flooring attributes, the types of ranges available and the best solutions for each market sector makes it easier for construction professionals, who may not be aware of Flowcrete’s various surfaces and solutions, to find what they are looking for.

Now they can search via one of three routes, either by the benefits they need (e.g. antimicrobial, chemical resistant, decorative), by the flooring range (e.g. car park coatings, industrial resins, polyurethane floor screeds) or by the market sector they work within (e.g. automotive, food & beverage, healthcare) and be presented with the options relevant to them.

Alongside these overviews, users can access a vast library of technical data, flooring ideas and advice. All of Flowcrete’s product data sheets can be downloaded from the site alongside brochures, whitepapers and complementary literature. Videos detailing application techniques, high-profile case studies and Flowcrete’s news stories are all available on the website to inspire, inform and advise.

Architects, designers and project managers will always be able to source the latest technical data on the website. This will help any construction professional going through the specification process, as they will know that the information on which they are basing their choice is backed up by the most up-to-date facts.

To future-proof the site against the rapidly changing digital world, up-to-date web concepts were taken into account during its development. Alongside being mobile responsive, this included a contemporary image-focused aesthetic and an emphasis on content that benefits users not keyword algorithms.

To visit the new website, head to www.flowcrete.co.nz and begin browsing all the product benefits, technical information, expert guidance, flooring ranges and more.
